I had no idea that kyrie Irving's dad was Dredrick Irving... Drederick was a phenominal HS ball player.. for those that remember he, he was a beast.. He also went to the same JHS I did in the bronx. I came in a year or two after he left, but most of my friends and my cousin remember him well, and every single teacher in that school raved about Drederick irving... No just about him being a great ball player, but for being a fantastic student... The guy Hit the books hard and was smart..

Now we can see why his son kyrie seems to have his head screwed on straight. He had a great example with his father.. I wish kyrie the best.. I was huge fan of his father, used to watch him play in the streets and in HS.... Although his dad didn't make the NBA, he was of Boston University's all time scoring leaders I think...

just want to say I am proud of the fellow bronx native I used to follow and I wish he and kyrie the best of luck tomorrow in the draft and in the future...

just goes to show, do things right, hit the books, raise yourkids well, and good things happen.. good guys can finish first....

OK, not familiar with Clark, is that in the South Bronx? I went to Sousa JHS and played HS ball at Harry S Truman (Rod Stricklands/Steve Lappas stomping grounds)

yea, clark is in the south bronx, not far from 149st and 3rd avenue... If you ever heard of patterson projects( home of basketball HOF player nate "tiny"archibald) it was right across the street from there. I think nate also went to clark as well... I know where Truman is.. I have friends that lived in co-op city that went there...

The infamous Patterson projects. I believe Fat Joe, Lord Finesse and AG either lived or hung out there.
