please lord let Darius Morris be available there. Charlie Jenkins or Reggie Jackson would be good, too. But I'd flip my lid if we could get Darius at 28 or 30 and STILL have pick 17 to grab a Vucevic type.

Source Confirms Knicks/Bulls talks are indeed real...not sure if it's 28 or 30 or who the target is, but that is very good PG range IMO.

I'm real excited about this draft and what it could mean for this teams future. Getting another pick is going to be the key. I also like D. Morris for this team.

Tyler at 17
Morris/Selby at 30

Alot of NBA teams need size up front. I dont see the Bobcats, Portland, Denver, Boston, Nets, Bulls, or San Antonio passing on any talented bigs that low in this draft.

I would sign off on Darius Morris at 17 and Jeremy Tyler or JaJuan Johnson at 28/30.

I think 17 is pretty high for Tyler, though I would be excited if the Knicks drafted him at 28/30. That would make two big projects at center though with Jerome Jordan coming over.

Another combo I think could be good is Markieff Morris at 17 and Best PG available at 28/30.

Man, I would love the options another first round pick would provide.

I think my preference would be:

17 - Darius Morris
28/30 - Jajuan Johnson or Jeremy Tyler

If we are doing this trade, I would hold off for pick 17 for Da Bulls 28, 30 and 43rd pick. Then select the following if the basketball gos are smiling...

28 - Donatas Motiejunas - C - 7'
30 - Darius Morris - 6'4" - PG
43 - Greg Smith - 6'10" - PF/C

Then buy another 2nd rounder and select Keith Benson-C-6'11"

Yup Yup

I don't often agree with you, Anu, but I think this is pretty much our best bet as well. If we whiff on Tyler, Vuv would be an acceptable backup plan for 17.

Hmmmm...read that wrong.

Basketball gods smile and we get...

17 - Jimmer
28/30 - Donatas Motiejunas - C - 7'

Then purchase another 2nd rounder and get either Greg Smith or Keith Benson.

I am so excited about this draft!!!

Justin Harper... if we're keeping he would be a great fit.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Am I missing something? Everything I have skimmed through says this draft is not that exciting - are people just pumped because it's the draft or is it really that deep that we will be getting a contributor at 17 and if we can add some second rounders?

I know we have had some solid late picks in the past but how often has this franchise purchased picks? Rarely, it has happened under Donnie so there is hope but still - is this draft that deep?

Don't get me wrong, I am excited that we are getting an opportunity to flesh out the rest of the roster but we have major holes to fill and I am not sure a rookie is going to be the solution - I hope I am wrong.

i think people have said that it is not a deep draft in terms of all-stars. but there are plenty of guys who will be rotation players in the league for many years. and that's exactly what the knicks need - rotation players.

not all of the guys who get picked between 15 and 35 will be rotation players - but some of them will and some of them will be very good ones. it's exciting to think the knicks could get one or two of the good ones.

Knicks have Melo and Amare. So guys are going to look better than they are playing with those 2.

For instance Darius Morris feeding Amare and Melo is very different from Morris feeding Chandler and Gallo.

Front of the draft (1-12) is decent of course past the Top 1st 3 (1-3); I dont think its a Kevin Durant or similar type of draft but
the have some good players. Guards as mentioned are all over this draft board 2011

Some experts feel those late 1st rounders or 2nd rounds can sneak into round 1;
Whomever Knicks pick at #17 wont satisfy the masses in knickland. Knicks cant win at 17 but can get a decent player.

Many NYers want Farried, I like him but dont like his height (tweener). This 2nd Dennis Rodman thing reminds me more
of Ben Wallace when I hear and see Kenneth F. Plus at that height lacking you gotta play above the rim, at least Rodman
and Barkely played above the rim more than not.

Dont want rebounders whom cant play above the rim cause its 1 dimensional-player.

I dont see the middle of draft being super great Picks 13-20; The players mid-later in draft are more have some gaps meaning many wont
be the total package (2-way players, defender and decent scoring players versatile)

Some potential there but some projects also.
Thats whay some folks want to move up to middle of draft. The end there will be player whom can help clubs such as Knicks
its why its imperative NY buys a pick Or 2 later.

Gonna be one NY interesting night tomorrow! for us all with our one skimpy lone pick selection

Not really - how good did Landry Fields look playing with those two?
