He's obviously played much better since he left ny, he has been much more selective with his shots, played a little better D. I'm not sure he will take the MLE (if one still exsist) but he's not going to get much more at his age, and i do belive he would much rather be in a winning situation over a bad one and bunch of $.

I haven't seen enough of him to really gauge his progress but if he did come back I'd want him to come off the bench. I would worry that there wouldn't be enough touches to go around with Jamal as a starter. Some instant offense off the bench while Stat or Melo takes a breather would be the only way I would want him back.

I like Jamal, He is what he is: A very good at creating his own shot type player. If he can open the floor and give our guys more space then Im good with him.

Only think is dude is gonna have to take a big pay cut if he wants back. Don't know where he gets good money anywhere.

I guess when you gonna take a pay cut seems boston always has a few rubles for guys like this.

Yeah, I'd take him back in the flow of our offense. dude can play!

Why bring back Jamal when you can bring in VC on the cheap.

Agreed.

I liked Jamal when he was here, although I haven't seen too much of him post-NY outside of the few NY/Atl games each season. The offense does seem like a great fit for him, would just have to hope with STAT and Melo on the floor he loses any chucking tendency he had at times here.

i like jamal a lot. but i don't know if he makes sense for this group of guys.

if the knicks get any cap space this summer, i think it MUST be spent on getting a big man somehow.

been there done that..

I want to move forward. He would be horrible with Melo. We really need to build this thing around Melo. Amare needs to go back to his old PHX self and score in the flow and not as the primary option. We need a PG that can set up Melo, Billups is good until he breaks down, a SG that can flat out shoot and a Center that can defend and rebound.

steve nash would be perfect for melo and amare. talk about bliss. neither melo or amare are the 'leader' type - they need to score in the flow like nykboker said. they need a true general of a point guard to get them the ball where they are most effective...in the flow. if the knicks are to win, we cant have ball stoppers.

Picture it; Amar'e standing on one side of the key waiting for the ball. Melo at the foul line looking for the pass and JC in the corner, trying to cross over his man for the errant 3 pointer. No thanks

Maybe you haven't been paying attention to him, he didn't win sixth man for his abilty to chuck shots.

I'm sure anyone of you would thave taken JC over Toney douglas against boston in the playoffs this season..

Jamal Crawford is currently better than any guard the Knicks would get at 17.

Sign and trade for Turiaf.

I always wondered if this was Isiah Thomas posting. Now I know for sure that it is.

Turiaf in a 10-15 a minute night bench player. Think Gadzuric.

Im not dying for Crawford but we could do worse.
