I’ve read some interviews you’ve done recently and it seems you’re now a little bothered about the Kobe Bryant comparisons. Is that right?

MB: I respect Kobe Bryant’s game so much that I don’t think anybody should be compared to him. I might play like him a tiny bit, but I would say I play more like Jamal Crawford than Kobe Bryant.

Straight from the horses mouth.

It's a fair comparison, but kind of scares me a little bit. I was hoping he considered himself more of a 2-way, less streaky player.

I always thought Crawford was a world class player, just lacked the focus and killer instinct. I have no problem with him comparing his games to Crawford, especially for the reason he gave. There is only one Kobe

Yeah, focus. Those shake and bake moves followed by a heave from beyond the arc were cringeworthy. Once he decided he was going to the rim defenses would collapse on him, they knew he wasn't going to give up the ball. Its a shame, from all appearances Crawford was a nice guy. I worry when I hear anyone comparing their game to Crawford's.

Obviously he doesn't mean the streakiness!!! He just means from a style perspective. He's crafty and has a lot of shake and bake to his game. He isn't going as deep as some of you are in terms of what JC's flaws are.

No the question we should be asking ourselves

How bad does this team need another player in the mold of Jamal Crawford on it when we have capable scoring from?.....

Melo(25ppg)
Amar'e(25ppg)
Billups(12ppg)
Fields(11ppg)
Douglas(11ppg)
Williams(8ppg)

Those are all realistic averages from potential rotation player. 92ppg. You figure there's 10-15ppg to spread across 3 more rotation players

We don't need Marshon Brooks unless we plan on unloading someone....this is even the case in a Billups exodus, as he still wouldn't fill the hole at Point Guard and Douglas isn't one either.

We need a defensive anchor who has the ability to score the basketball or a sure fire backup point guard who could challenge as a starter. Brooks fits neither. He even compared himself to the other Crawford who plays for Atlanta now, Jordan Crawford

I had two problems with Craw - his d and his shot selection. He fit nicely into MDA's offense, but his contract was too high.
