A new regime, two stars, and no other commitments. There should be no more complaints about the melo trade or anything anymore. We are in better position moving forward then any team outside of maybe Miami and okc. Let's just focus on trying to properly build about stoudemire and Anthony because the opportunity is there.

I agree. I want guys who can help us now. draft picks who "might" turn into something.

Thank goodness we actually have a pick this year. I like our chances to come out of this draft with someone that can help us. Our core is younger than Boston's big 3 when they came together. It's a good start. We have some open issues with management but we're still in good shape.

I'd like to know who will be the team president and GM ASAP. I find it hard to feel good about the team without knowing who will be in charge. If not Donnie, then I sure hope we get a great person to run this organization properly without having to fear Dolan.

It'd be great to hire a high profile guy whom Dolan might trust without interfering in the basketball operations.

I am getting the impression that nothing may be done until after the lockout ends.

we've got 2 stars, and very little committed salary after this year. We are in a great position. I don't know what all the whining is about.

Looking more and more like all of those in the organization currently will be in charge. I think it seems to make sense and certainly keeps us on track with our current plans. Adding a player from the draft who can contribute right away is key. I'm thinking Brooks or Thompson at SG is the best bet. Either player would either start or be a top contributor off the bench behind Melo and Fields, and both have reasonable upside. Looking forward to seeing what we can add this off-season to become a 50-55 win team next season.

We just got rid of one of the better GM's in the league. The only direction now is down. We're not getting any good GM's, just yes-men who bow to Dolan.

I agree. It appears that a patchwork of guys are going to handle Walsh's duties. However, if a new gm was brought in I do think he would replace the coach and that would be a step forward after two steps back that occured with Walsh being let go. I think D'Antoni is still in NY because Walsh was such a loyal guy with character. Too much happened for a smart basketball guy like Walsh not to recognize that D'Antoni and his unique approach wasn't going to be successful.

Whoever comes in to work here as GM will value $$$ more than dignity or speaking his mind

A fish rots from the head down. Or so I've been told. I have not witnessed this first hand.
