I believe there is a lot to be thankful for from his 3 year tenure. Thanks Donnie for bringing the Knicks back to relevance and respectability. Lord knows it has been a long circus act before Donnie signed up for Knicks president. Here's hoping the next president will carry on his legacy.

We have stars who actually want to be here, we have the playoffs, we lose in the first round to someone other than the Nyets.

We don't have:
1) a borderline psychotic GM/coach/midget puppeteer causing back page headlines about anything and everything other than what's on going on court-wise (except in a judicial court)
2) a stream of coaches looking over their shoulder at Pocket Lord
3) the grand feeling of not even qualifying as a second-rate basketball team in the NYC metro area
4) League intervention for the sake of the franchise
5) the need to look back fondly at Scott Layden

Thank you, Mr. Walsh.

You have to write a good and bad list to really evaluate walsh, pro's cons..

Solid 2010 off season, but as much as we sacrifice for 2 years, he was suppose to hit a home run, and bearly got a double.

I, for one, will miss nap time with Donnie

But in all seriousness, he'll b emissed. He definitely made great strides in restoring the pride that used to surround the organization. That's his biggest, yet most overlooked, contribution. No small feat when you consider the circus and the ruins he had to work with

Donnie, please rise to receive your award... The Golden Walnut. Thank you for saving us from our diabolical owner. Please neuter him on your way out the door.

the only thing more that Donnie could have done was 'fix' one of these right before Jimmie was about to get on board:

Walsh was okay, but Walsh + D'Antoni is a real snoozer compared to Isiah+Larry.

Don't get me wrong, we definitely got a lot of mileage out of the whole nap time thing, and the whole riot-outside-msg and tar & feathering thing. And the whole LeBron/Wheelchair thing was good for a few laughs....

But how can that ever compare to what went down during Isiah's reign? Standing in the stands and glowering while Chaney tried to coach? Publicly humiliating Chaney before firing him? Having Wilken's "resign"? The Summer of Marbury? LB's roadside interviews? Anucha Brown Sanders.... THE INTERN AND THE TRUCK? I mean, c'mon. Walsh just is not in the same league.

Hitting a home run had more to do with media and a fans unrealistic expectation, Donnie’s number one priority was to get two superstars and put the Knicks in position to maybe get a third one and he did it.
