Walsh and Isiah are good friends. Walsh gave Isiah his first job in the NBA he coached Indy 3 years. Don't think that Isiah didn't play a part in Walsh coming here because he did. These games are politics at it's worst.No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.We have no idea whats going on.

Walsh never wanted Isiah around the Knicks, Dolan did. Then Isiah got a job at some crappy college. Dolan still wanted him around because he liked him so he tried re-hiring him back as a GM. Walsh didn't want it. He tried to hire him as a consultant. That didn't work. Walsh was annoyed that this guy got more respect from the owner than he did...and rightfully so. Walsh is gone and Isiah still remains lying in the weeds like the snake that he is. That's the way he wanted it. Isiah's voice is stronger now and it will be for a very long time. No, Isiah wont return as President, GM or coach but he will always have an influence over James L Dolan.

Walsh was not that person but that person is in a high position in the Knicks chain of leaders now.
