Billups is an upgrade short term for Raymond Felton but I was thinking about last season and I know he wants to start for a team, and he was happy here.

Ray is from Latta, South Carolina.

Its a business, but we dogged him.

FOr the money, and disregarding the CBA, I'd like to get him and a big. We don't need stars, we need solid role players.

If we don't get defensive players then lets just go full bore and have fun!

If we are not going to be championship caliber lets just have fun!

Be the "FUN TEAM"!

Dude wanted to be here. That means something.

He'd make a great change of pace from Billups. Wonder if he'd be willing to come off the bench? I know it's a problem in Denver.

We need someone to run the offense. That person is not Raymond Felton.

Felton would be better on a team like the LA Lakers or Atlanta Hawks.

Naold - the mere fact you drove through Latta, SC gives you a rare perspective that AnubisADL can only throw random darts at.

It's not about what type of offense the Lakers, or any other team, runs.

It's not about the stats, the money or the boogie.

It's a about the two most important words in the NYK dictionary, "heart and soul."

You don't get nunnadat by sitting at home imagining what Latta SC looks like.

You need people like Felton on any championship team. He's tough, doesn't back down, and plays good defense. He's also not afraid.

I miss him.

Rose is not the answer.

Billup wasn't an upgrade...Felton ran the offense better...It would have been better for Knicks to keep Felton but Denver wanted to get rid of Billups and his contract..I'm not sure we can go back now...It's going to be a choice between Felton, CP3 and DWill...Felton is a distant third...

Do we really know how billups will perform giving the time he actually played for the knicks. the first 10 games after the trade he was just learning the system, then he gets hurt he's out for 6 games, which seem longer.
when he gets back, he gradually starts playing well..then amare takes a few games off, and then he gets hurt(billups) 1st game of the playoffs..

It took the entire roster a month (3-8 start) even with a training camp, just to get on the right page.

Which is a reflection of the Knicks number one nemesis.

Continuity.

I miss Raymond Felton.

Definitely need to give Billups a shot to run this offense when he is able to lead thru a training camp and be healthy. That being said, i would definitely be interested in resigning Felton next summer if we aren't set at PG for the long term already.

Id love to get Felton back. Clearly Felton is no Paul or Williams, but Felton can run this offense quite well and could possibly be reacquired more cheaply. If he acquiring him to play PG left us the flexibility to add a good center that would be close to ideal. Please give me back Mozgov and Felton for Billups!

IM actually hopeful Billups will take the challange and execute the offense as it should.

He is a consumate professional who has already stated he wants to be quicker and lighter next season.

He will also be playing for another contract either here or elsewhere.

I'll worry about next summer in 12 months.

I would prefer Ray and was very happy with his play, determination and embracing being a knick.

But a year of Billups for the time being is just fine.

i thought that one of the reasons Billups was breaking down at end of year was because of his participation in Worlds last summer. Let's hope he comes to season fresh this year.

He had an injury that he could play with and the urgency to finish to make the playoffs was large. Injury happens. TD broke down and he a young man. Wilson Chandler has had ankle problems for a few years, Etc etc.

It appers not to be a chronic condition. We'll see.

I'm just not that optimistic about Billups' outlook...I think Billups has slowed a lot...He has always taken quick shots that is not in the rhythm of the offense, for many years now on other teams...Felton actually made people around him better, STAT, Will, Shawne Williams, etc...I really hope he tries to fit into the offense, but I didn't see a glimpse of hope the last few games he was healthy..

I see Billups as an expiring that could net us some talent if Chris Paul does not seem like a viable option after the next CBA is negotiated on.

Billups is clearly a step slower. Jason Kidd is still playing so im sure he can extend his career but not at the productivity of a finals MVP.

I doubt we revisit the raymond felton experiment but we should seek similar qualities in the PG we draft or acquire.

Felton was 10x better than billups in just about every single aspect.

One season at at time.

IM fine with Billups at the point. Not my top choice but this guy brings a lot to the team.

What we saw might not be indicative of the upcomeing season. Players have bad stretches and injuries.

My biggest concern is at this point is getting Amare some help so he can do his thing.

A fresh amare plays good defense also. This I have seen.

A tired AMare, a tired DLEE, a tired anyone don't. This too we have seen.
