What is this guy gonna command in the offseason? I know the guy basically hasn't played for 3-4 years, but he's the best pure shooter on the market. I think he'd be a great complement to Amare/Melo. If he would take a 2-3 yr MLE offer I'd consider him.

Its funny, a lot of the best FA's on the market this year are coming off serious injuries:

Oden
Redd
Yao
Butler
David West

But all these guys may have some of the best chance of being impact contributors and switching teams this offseason.

Tyson Chandler is the ideal signing but we can't afford him. I think we go with Chauncey and TD at PG (maybe bring back Carter). Lets see what happens in the draft. If the right guy doesn't fall to us, I wouldn't be surprised if we trade that guy to Denver to get Mozgov back. Depends on if Nene re-ups or not.

Can't offer more than a 1-year deal to players like Redd who are question marks. We just aren't in position to do that. Only players we offer long term money to are players who fill an immediate need like center and are above average in both ability and durability. Baring any freak injuries, we need relatively healthy players who can sustain a full season year after year. One thing that made Felton so valuable was his durability. Anyways, on a 1-year deal for 1 mil, Redd is a decent option, but anything more than that is not. Anthony Parker is probably a better option, as well as Grant Hill.
