I think the draft day is the best time to make a move to improve this team for the 2012 season.

The Milwaukee Bucks have 50+ million owed to John Salmons (32 yrs old) and Drew Gooden (30 yrs old). They arent going to be better than Chicago as long as Derrick Rose is in Chicago. Did I mention no one wants to play for Milwaukee? So basically their best bet is to dump salary and try to rebuild on the fly.

I propose:

Billups, Fields, Balkman, and the 17th pick
for
Jennings, John Salmons (3yrs 24 million remaining), Drew Gooden (4yrs 26 million remaining)

We get a some solid vets and a young PG. Milwaukee gets a salary dump an a veteran PG to run their team for a year and some young players.

Not a big Jennings fan. I like Salmons and he would be perfect alongside Melo. Gooden is garbage with a albatross contract to boot. I would have to say no.

You don't give up Fields in the deal if you are taking back two terrible contracts.

Teams don't give away young PG's or Center's. Horford, Noah, and Conley all got paid. Conley is the 4th best player on his team and he got a 5 yr 45 million deal.

I agree. I am just not that impressed with Jennings. I would target other players before going there.

what about brandon jennings makes you think he'd fit in well with melo and stat?

My reason that I think Jennings fits:

- Able to run half court sets
- Able to get out and lead on the break
- Low turnovers
- Makes crisp passes
- Finds the open man
- Stretches the defense
- Keeps defenders honest
- Solid defender
- Able to run the pick and roll

I feel Melo and Amare work way to hard for baskets. I also fell Billups is too old and slow to get in the paint at will and dish open shots to Melo and Amare.

Early in the season Jennings was feeding Gooden heavily because he was hitting the mid range J from the corner and the top of the key. Gooden went down with the foot issues and Jennings was left feed Muah Boute and Larry Sanders. Replace Gooden with Amare and Carmelo with Maggette and Jennings averages close to 10 assists a game easy.

If I didn't have to give up Fields the deal's worth a look, but it doesn't fix the center situation without a mid-level signing like Dalembert. I think Jennings is a good player and might be better than what we can get at 17 in a weak draft class, so it's interesting.
