If he could have his choice as he hails from the area and was a fan of them growing up. Doesn't sound as if he'd be disappointed being drafted by us as he stated he cheered for New York but makes the Nets his clear preference


But most of all he wants to be drafted as high as possible

Now if he works out from them and they like him which teams ahead of us try to pick block us if we like him too in efforts to swing down and make a trade. I'm not real high on Faried but he's on my big board overall.

I hear what you are saying, but if he has the same standing reach as a 7 footer (9ft) and a long wingspan, then what is the problem? Being shorter gives you better leverage and mobility due to a lower center of gravity and having the long arms and VERY quick hops (not to mention high) means that his height won't even be a hindrance, but rather be of benefit.

It's hard to insult the guy or his game. However, if you are going to be a 6'6" PF, I want to hear serious, and I mean absolutely positively serious, Charles Barkely and/or Larry Johnson comparisons. Meaning, can't miss. Otherwise, it's not going to work.
