This is a stars league buy your x-factor has got to be a defensive big. It makes me seriously consider forgetting cp3 if I'm Donnie. You don't need the best big man, you just need one who controls the paint and is the main cog in the defense. Chandler, gasol, Noah, and perkins/ibaka all do that for their teams and have been the reasons for their teams success. Only exception is Miami of course. We already have the stars to help get us there. We also already have a championship caliber pg. If we have a great backup pg like barea has been for Kidd in Dallas, we will be ok there. Finding a defensive center puts us in position to compete. Dalembert could be our Chandler. Maybe there is another option out there like trading for varejao. Either way it is the stars that are making it happen but the centers that are putting teams over the top. Dallas is the same team as before only difference is they have Chandler. Perkins deal has put okc is great position and Boston in terrible position. The list goes on. If we get a big center who fits in the system reasonably well and draft a pg then it really makes us strong. I'm still undecided if it's a better option then Paul but definitely one to consider.

We need size in a bigger way than anything else for sure. Small ball has never cut it and certainly doesn't now. Not sure if Dalembrant is the answer but that caliber player is probably all that we can acquire. I would roll the dice on Greg Oden whom I'm sure can be had for a bargain basement price.

Take a look a long look around this league...there's a massive shortage of quality bigs, there's a a few on the come up like Hibbert and Hicks. Mosgodv was a great p/u and it was quite ridiculous when people thought walsh was nuts for trying to hold on to him during the melo trade.

Quality bigs and solid back ups are almost a premium in the nba these days..barrea was a top prospect playing like AI overseas before he landed in dallas..that's where

if you win the rebound battle, your chances of winning the game are astronomical.

you can't advance in the playoffs unless you can get stops when you need them.

you need a go-to scorer.

we have the go-to scorer. we got crushed on the boards last year and play no D.

Yes, we need bigs. But the suggestion that Chauncey has the mettle to be our starting pg leaves me SMH. That's why I'd love to swing the cp3/ok4 deal as it solves our two biggest needs in one deal.

With this team, a trade for CP3 and OK4 would be ideal. BUT...we don't have the assets to do this deal. Not anymore.

It definitely solves it all but probably isn't realistic. Billups can be the starting PG for a contender with a right backup, just like Dallas' situation. And Billups is a proven champion.

A ring that gets another year older, and another year closer to missing even more games. Chauncy is not the answer. A shame he's getting starter's money. He's certainly got the starter's attitude. But he's going to spend alot of time and 14 mil keeping Turiaf company on the bench. We need Deron or CP3.

I'd like to take Mo Williams off the LA Clippers hands.

Fine, but it'll cost you the #1 pick.
