reminds me of a great Seinfeld scene:

Elaine became friends with a guy, so, They group was at the resturant and They asked Elaine if she slept with the new guy yet and she says "no, but we slept in the same bed last night".

So they all looked at eachother like "yes - sure you did not sleep with him. Right sure."

So Elaine says "no. you guys don't understand. We reversed positions (feet by eachothers head)"

So again they look at eachother rolling their eyes to say "now we know it happened"

So she says .... "no no no no no, I had my back to him"
