"Ron Klempner, attorney for the Players Association, told The Post the mid-level exception likely will rise from $4.9 million to $5.1M this summer. Under a mid-level contract, the Knicks could offer Wallace a two-year, $10.7 million pact. Then, under the collective bargaining agreement, when that two-year deal expires, the Knicks can offer Wallace a longer-term deal with a 75-percent raise, starting at $9.8 million. There's also a scenario in which the Knicks can give Wallace, 29, three consecutive one-year deals starting at $5.1 million with 20-percent raises. In Year 4, the Knicks can give him the maximum $14 million." NY Post
