Bosh Admits To Being Rattled By Postseason Intensity
May 09, 2011 10:26 AM EDT

Chris Bosh said nerves were a major factor in perhaps his worst game of the season, a six-point, five-rebound effort in 30 minutes in the Heat's 97-81 blowout loss.

"Given all the elements that were out there last night ... they were so hyped," Bosh said. "My emotions got the best of me early on and it kind of dictated what I was doing for the rest of the game."

In the first moments of the game, Bosh came off a standard pick-and-roll with Dwyane Wade and had an open mid-range jumper from the wing. Although this is a routine part of Miami's offense, Bosh hesitated and passed up the open jumper and tried to force the ball back to Wade.

Bosh's pass was off target and in traffic and went for a turnover. For Bosh, it was just downhill from there.

Bosh is very talented, but he's not a leader. He's in a good spot right now, cuz he really doesn't have the full weight of carrying the team on his shoulders. He can just hang back and play off of Lebron and Wade. We needed a stronger personality so it all worked out for the best.

Heat needed a C or PF that is a bruiser to go with Wade and LeDouche.

Heat needed someone who would be comfortable as a 3rd fiddle and not rock the boat. Bosh is that guy.

Guy will give you 20 and 10 and is solid all around.

The guy is a better defender than Amare from what I have seen.

Chris Bosh will be the Pau Gasol of the Heat if James and company come up short.

Same thing I was thinking. Talking trash to him and intimidating him.

Can't hate him.

He is not that significant.

The moon and sun might just be lining up for the Heat this year.

I thought the RuPaul reference was classic.

And now it's got obviously more than just comedic value.

Bosh is having match up issues with Garnett because Garnett is very physical.

The guy is dam near putting up 20 and 10 as the 3rd fiddle next to 2 ball dominant players.

Some of you guys are too much. Amare wouldn't mess personality wise with Lebron and Wade. Boozer is injury prone has been injured most of the year.

Miami got the player AND personality they needed in Chris Bosh.
