How can his exodus from the Sixers benefit us?

Supposedly there is light discussion of him going to the Clippers in some package for Kaman

I would rather get Kaman but with his salary, we would need to send them Billups plus others to get him.

Billups, Fields, TD and Balkman for Kaman and Gomes. They still have a big expiring and get Fields and TD in the package.

C-Kaman
PF-Amare
SF-Melo
SG-Gomes?
PG-17th pick

Bench - Anthony Carter, Shawne Williams, Billy Walker, Jerome Jordan, Turiaf, Rautins, Derrick Brown

We have to look at anyone available because we need upgrades at PG, SG, and C.

Yup...Maybe we go by way of draft. Buy a couple more picks and go from there. This would really test the value of Melo. I think he can do it if Walsh is consistent and gets us more very good players. Get a lot of tall bruisers and a some sharpshooters.

I actually really like Iguodala and think he would be a great fit with Amar'e and Melo. Terrific wing defender. Can score but won't demand the ball out of Melo's hands. Only problem is that contract hamstrings us in regards to other moves. Let's see what what can pull off in terms of bringing in a C or PG first.

Iggy needs to be more of a finishing touch type move.

Iggy would probably be the perfect 2 guard for this team. I remember reading an article that rated him the best perimeter defender in the league. Very good rebounder and assists man for the wing, Iggy is a 5 tool player the knicks could really use.

he's a perfect fit. He can be a facilitator and hit the boards. He played PF at the World's, before that he basically played PG for the 76ers. His versatility would be a welcomed addition and considering he'd be cheap to trade for, the Knicks could ACTUALLY acquire him. He's been asked to be THE guy in Philly, which was a bit unfair, but he might be a second banana and he definitely fits the bill as a third option.

kaman is an expiring contract, so the billups expiring really has no value to them. moreover they have eric bledsoe and eric gordon, so why do they want fields and douglas?

regardless, knicks give up too much. gomes is NOT a shooting guard LOL we are left with absolutely zero at either guard spot.

I could live with TD starting if he's in the backcourt with Iggy. They both hound players on defenses and Iggy could help with the bulk of the playmaking duties.

right. the first 1/2 of my post was dedicated to why LAC wouldn't pull the trigger on that deal. they are apparently shopping kaman for igoudala, not kaman for an expiring and a few bit players who play the same positions as their young guns.

And the guy can't shoot

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Deal is a no brainier for Golden State. Not such a good deal for Philly considering they have Lou Williams and Jrue Holiday.

I am good getting Iggy. I am really not down with the whole Chris Paul talk. If you can get Iggy for a package of Turiaf, Fields, and some cash I would seriously look into it. No way do I throw in the pick though. Getting Philly out from under that contract gotta count for something.

The Sixers need a perimeter scorer... for all the things Iggy does well, he is not a primary scorer
