What a disgrace of a Big Man. I've always thought he was hella overrated but not only this he's a completely disgusting dirty player

Gerald Wallace(collapsed his lung went to the hospital)
Micheal Beasley(Bruised his sternum)
JJ Barrea(Bruised his ribs)

He took each player out using his elbow as a weapon while they were airborn

Seriously why hasn't the league sent a strong message to him. He deserves a 10gm suspension minimum, starting next season for being a repeat offender. He's awful really awful

Another thing to look at in this clip is Kobe's body language after the flagrant.

It's amazing Barea came out of that spill unscathed.

Not really. Some may.... but not anyone as in everyone. He's garbage and there's no place for this kind of play.

Didn't even catch that the first time. He looked like "I can't believe you just did that"

honestly, that was one of the worst fouls i've ever seen in ball...dude didn't even try to do anything other than take barea out with his forearm in frustration...

frustration, indeed...

but gotta be reprimanded harshly for that...

Sorry no comparison. Yeah there may have been some fouls where arms come down hard or grabs/whiplash but no head on collision using your body as a weapon repeatedly. I know it's tough on you but a spade is a spade in this case

lol I remember once John Starks tackling Scottie Pippen in mid air--all of the guys back then gave hard stuff that at times was very cheap. You either didnt see dont remember or choose to forget.

even the knicks didn't do that, at least as much as i recall.

there were dirty plays, yes, but this was horrible. i recall knick players at least going for the basketball, or at least pretending to...of course beefs between players arose in different ways...after the play was finished, etc.

the charlie ward situation was the top one, as was the lj vs. morning slugfest, childs vs. kobe and camby vs. the spurs, but all of those were in a fight situation not on the floor...

knicks would foul guys hard, but this foul had zero to do with basketball...quite impulsive and even in my understanding eyes, scary to see...

My opinion is the Lakers will trade one of their bigs and Ron Artest this offseason. With the latest actions, I wouldn't be shocked if its Bynum. A core of Gasol, Odom, Bryant, Fisher and whatever they get via trade is not bad. It would be wise to do something to combat the chemistry problems they have. Definite punk play.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I agree Briggs it's always been there. The 'hard' fouls in the paint. Literally physical retaliation because the skill level was unequal. And this sort of play one way to equalize. As long as it is tolerated it will happen. That last series against NO and Chris Paul some mentioned the Laker's getting more physical with him. Intimidation is a part of the game. But this crap should be stopped before someone is killed.

Were I Stern...Bynum would not play basketball until December and if it happens again he would be barred from the league. It's one thing to accidentally hurt a player making a play on the ball. It's totally another to deliberately put your elbow into his rib cage and knock him to the floor.

This kind of occurrence doesn't make basketball better game. If that elbow hits a bit higher the guy has a possibility of a crushed trachea and an emergency tracheotomy on the floor live and in living color.

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

just saw that play with barrea... wow. so that douchebag committs a dirty foul and walks off. His team down 30, about to be eliminated so he wants an early exit.. wow.. I would give him a 5 game suspension starting next season..
