That sucks for the tourney bc he is perfect for it IMO. Time to bring him back Jimmy boy!

Man just imagine, when Melo has a "game 2" like performance and/or Amare is dunking on opponents, listening to Gus go wild would be soo awesome to hear again.

The story was posted today. This is news to me.

Gus Johnson is great. I cant blame the guy for getting his money.

MSG used to have Kenny "The Jet" Smith who was also solid. Then MSG got super cheap.

Mike Breen is annoying on MSG AND ESPN.

Personally I liked his over-the-top calls and love for NY born players.

hated that he got axed by MSG but I do enjoy him as a boxing commentator for HBO
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Walt is not even close to how bad some of these other x players sound doing a game.

A few of the worse...sean elliot...reggie miller...clyde drexler.. d wilkens...

Mark jackson is probably the best at it...as far as being an x player..he's pretty acurate, inteligent, funny, and doesn't act like his audience is 10 year olds..

I love it when he called one our play off games aginst boston (when anythony carter lead the comeback)..and while going to a comercial..said..MDA has finally turned on the AC...good stuff..

He was recently given a promotion by them(2-3yrs ago) and yes this happens all the time lead anchors/color guys trying to renew relationships..... CBS doesn't care this time as they shouldn't. Dude is thirsty and going after other gigs. He thinks he's DAT DUDE but he's not

EDIT: My bad he may get that Fox deal if his thirst is quenched but he has been turned down already for a gig he went after....in favor of Nessler(who is one of many better than him)

Gus Johnson is one of the most entertaining announcers in the business. He makes you feel like you are at the game.

Gus Johnson has his own niche like Steven A Smith. Either you love him or hate him. Regardless he is still cashing checks.
