Let's see what kind of balls Walsh have in forcing Mike D to bring in a defensive coach. Will Mike D agree?? If he refuse??

Papabear Says

We need defense! Melo and Amare are part time defenders. You saw the Boston game and how many back door points they made. I don't want to hear about injuries. Every player on this team should play defense.

Walsh knows the team's needs. It starts with the roster. Amare and Melo score. Lets get the most out of that. A defensive/rebounding big and a lock down guy on the wing are a start. My vote is OK4 and Ariza as I think they could be had

I would love to see this team have a better commitment to D, I just don't know if anything will change if we don't get bigger! We need roster improvements 1st and foremost! I'd have no problem with a defensive coach but that won't solve the problem entirely.

Does anbody relize walsh didn't get a single vote for exec of the year..as a matter of fact..denvers gm was second in votes...

What does that say about walsh or the respect he gets..he manage to bring in some very good players..all the players denver is got credit for.. those good players translated into a super star and a play off birth..and not an ounce of love from the media...unbelievable

I like this a lot. My dream offseason is Billups/Fields or Douglas/Turiaf to NO for Ariza/OK4 and sign Dalembert for the MLE. Then draft a PG in the first round and the roster looks like this:

PG: 1st round pick/Carter
SG: Ariza/Fields or Douglas
SF: Melo/Walker
PF: Amar'e/S. Williams
C: Okafor/Dalembert

All that won't happen, but it'd be a great team that could compete for a title.

Yeah I don't know how that happened, either. He should at least have gotten the same amount of love that Denver's GM got, but Riley deserved to win the award for sure for winning Free Agency.

Great, as long as they come packaged with CP3. Otherwise, terrible paper there.

CP3 won't come back with them because it's impossible money-wise, but it's a good tandem even if he doesn't. They're overpaid, but they're also really good complimentary pieces to what New York already has and add depth. (There's also the fact that New York has no money to spend and probably won't be able to acquire a third star, anyway.) There would be a point guard problem there, but that can be taken care of with a good draft pick.

is Donnie Walsh the most talked about GM in the NBA? ...or is my perspective flawed because im a knicks fan?
Had enough Melo?
