In lieu of the inevitable Report Cards, Post Season Grades, Rumors, Amateur GM Trades and Random Remarks

Based on the effort and competitive spirit of Game 4, and the always dependable crystal Spalding basketball, here are the moves that Donnie Walsh will make:

(Jeff Van Gundy is correct, "what more could Donnie Walsh have done?")

Keepers

Shawne Williams, in appreciation of your comeback season. Here is to your making good use of the summer.
Anthony Carter, for bringing the intensity. You can mentor our new guards in practice.
Bill Walker, for playing better defensively than expected. Stay tough my friend.
Landry Fields, for the potential to improve on a roller coaster rookie season, despite losing your best running buddy, Raymond Felton, you kept your head up and made us proud

On the bubble

Roger Mason Jr, yes, we know the minutes were inconsistent. Thank the MSG fans on the baseline for the garbage time cameo.

Everyone else can take a hike

Not right now, no. The team sucks without him, but he's the main reason we can't be a running team, which is really what the doctor ordered. I did not prefer him over Felton, and so far, he's proven me right. He's injury prone and slow. He can still hit some big shots, but it's not enough to offset the other issues. Personally, I would love to have Felton and "The Mayor" back right now and could do without Billups. Him being injury prone is the main reason we got swept. Sorry, no love.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Im not the best company right now, and since I feel some hate, let me start playing the villain by saying its too premature for a Billups lovefest when all he showed was that he is an injury concern everytime things really matter and when we were lucky to have him in games he was surprisingly a chucker and wasn't the offensive orchestrator we needed at PG.

That is my problem with Billups. We need a PG that knows what is a good shot and what is a bad shot.

The only player who deserves more than the minimum is Shawne Williams. Everyone else is a minimum salary player.

Exactly why do you want Amare and Melo to take a hike?

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Judging by the number of bootleg threads, Chauncey Billups is the most pivotal pre draft issue on the table.

Keep Chauncey

Experience - he can be trusted with the ball

Te Melo Factor - “I’m pretty sure I’ll be talking to Donnie or Dolan and Amar’e will be there and Chauncey will be there, just trying to figure out some ways where we can become not just a playoff team but a championship-caliber team.”

Is carmelo just covering his bases, or does he want/ have a say in the matter of Billups return? Last I checked, players did NOT have votes on acquisitions or contracts, let alone approaching a tense labor situation.

Tell Chauncey Goodbye

Toney Douglas Is Delusional - "I don't feel like I had a difficult time," Douglas said. "Boston handled their business. They just played great defense." Te sooner Douglas is moved, the better.

Family - Billups left his heart in Denver. Does he WANT to be in New York or was he simply going through the motions? A public statement?

Health Report - Billups is 35 and prone to healing slower from inevitable injuries.

Tempo - Billups is not what the Knicks need to generate the best offensive rhythm in the D'Antoni high paced

The Future - keeping Billups only delays the inevitable solution to finding a lead guard who can manage the floor to maximize the skills sets of the two leading men

Chedda - $14 M is a lot of chedda

We have some nice parting gifts for you.
