I sat on the edge of my seat for the whole game...Ya know...it wasn't just being in the playoffs....it was knowing that Stat, Melo,and/or Billups had the confidence and experience to take this game or series at any point....we have turiaf who can be a monster in the middle and we know that shawne williams, bill walker, and Tony Douglass can light it up from three, especially when open, at any time...

Wow...I didn't necessarily expect the knicks to win this series...but last night was awesome....

Indeed....most people feel like we got robbed I think. We got another shot tomorrow

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

I still have a sick feeling from watching Melo miss shots and get that stupid offensive foul at the end of the game... I hate those feelings when I wake up after a game like that...

I totally agree. But here's the thing: It's nice to finally have these types of emotions again regarding our Knicks. It's been far too long. I've had these feelings with the Yanks and Giants in recent years, but obviously not with the Knicks.

Anyway, a very disappointing loss, no doubt. But it definitely proved to me that we can play at a high level against a good team on the road, so it makes me think we have a shot.

This series is actually gonna be good for the Knicks no matter how it goes. This level of competition is what you need to learn how to deal with if you want to be title team. The Knicks will learn a ton about themselves and playoff basketball from this. What better teacher than to play a world champion! Now if they win that will be even better, cuz then they can have the full confidence that they can go all the way if they have the will to do what it takes.

This teams mental makeup is what i'm really looking to see. How do they deal with this situation? Do they rise to the occasion of wilt? It makes the whole thing so dramatic and interesting.

The mix of the stars and the unknown, to boldly go...no wait, wrong channel.

I seriously like the fact that this series could turn on whether TD has another 6 game, fill-in great awakening.
That Fields could suddenly lock down Ray Ray.
That Melo ends up nullifying Pierce simply by wearing him down offensively.
That Shaq never plays a minute, and if he does, Stat will go for 50.
That we could possibly get another mini-Willis moment out of Chauncey for game 7.

That John Sterling could start moonlighting as the Knicks radio announcer.

Man, I'm sick...

Exactly.

No matter what happens, it is a win for our beloved Knicks.

There is no substitute for playoff experience and Landry Fields, Toney Douglas, Derrick Brown, and even Andy Rautins will be better for the exposure.

Donnie Walsh is making mental notes on how close the franchise is to an elite level. Just think, Donnie may enjoy the rare sound of The Garden in April, with the trains rumbling through Penn Station, and the other team forced to call a hasty timeout after a 8-0 Knicks rum.

once a knick always a knick
