Turiaf has a player option for $4M for next year. Think he'll pick it up?
Is that a good deal for us?

Personally, I like Ronny, I like the energy he brings on the floor, and he's my favorite of the three headed center.
Not sure what we could get better for $4M. Just wish he could stay healthy for a season.

I wonder also, what management is thinking regarding JJ2, if they are going to bring him back, and what they're willing to pay. I think y'all know what I think about that topic (one word: jettison).

I guess some of the answers to this depend on what better talent we can get at center in the offseason, but just for our purposes of circle-jerking, lets imagine we're not able to grab Deandre Jordan, Tyson Chandler, or Marc Gasol.

i think alot of this has to do w how the playoff run goes. if it's a quick exit for the knicks - look for both turiaf and jj to be gone.

Yeah I think Turiaf will take it and I don't think $4 million is too much to pay for him. I like him as well, just wish he was a bit better from the line. I think (hope) JJ is gone next year. The best shot in the FA market to grab a big is Jordan. I can't see Cuban letting Chandler walk and Gasol is a RFA. I think Jordan would be the bes fit for the Knicks and will come at the best price. I don't want to think about not being able to grab a big this off season.

Turiaf will pick up the option , what team is gonna pay him more when the dude is always hurt and has zero offensive skills.

He doesn't rebound. We should trade his expiring contract next year for a decent rebounding center.

He will pick it up. With the new collective bargaining agreement, his constant health issues and limitations he will not make that much on the open market.

he is injury waiting to happen, if we get a full series out of him, is good. but i expect him to go down grimacing with some freak injury any day.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I agree. I'm glad he's on the roster but beyond this season, I expect diminishing returns.

+1 to that. His player option will benefit us as an expiring more than him sitting on the bench due to injury. He will hopefully be packaged with Billups, TD, and Fields for a trade with the Hornets for CP3/OK4/filler.
