Without a doubt our present 5. 2 All stars, 1 proven pg with a chip, a good 2 guard rookie and at 5 take your pick.

Interesting...

Felton would run Billups to the ground.
Fields v Fields. Tough one but I think I will go with Landry.
Gallo v Melo? Slight edge to Melo but Gallo has shown in the past that he gets up for big challenges.
Chandler v Amare. Slight edge to Amare just because this version of Amare is a little hurt. Tha Mayor has quick feet and Amare has problems with physical players with quick feet. Amare needs to drain the mid range.
Amare v Turiaf. Amare would kill Mr. Glass.

but...You would also have to add Timo into the picture.

Don't know. We haven't seen the 9-consecutive-30pt-games Amare with this roster yet.

As Mr. Earl suggested in another thread, Carmelo Anthony continues to reveal additional talents that weren't on display in Denver. His defensive play to seal the win at Indiana is yet another demonstration of Carmelo's additional value for the Knicks. Now that his goal is to win a championship, you have to give Carmelo more time to uncover additional talents that were not on display in Denver.

It certainly seems to me that Carmelo's ceiling is quite a bit higher than what was on display during his Denver career. I almost hope the Knicks don't do that well in the playoffs this year, just because I want Carmelo to continue to search for additional ways to improve his value to the NY Knicks attempt to win the NBA Championship next year.

That's true. I'd really like to see him set up teammates as well as Kobe, Wade, and Lebron do.
