all I'm sayin this is the type of back up point we have been missing for a long time and between him and billups I don't think you could ask for better mentors for Douglas. I think AC will be a big help in the playoffs..... Have you guys read the latest blog article on espn NY on the knicks playing VS the heat and read what a Bad AZZ

"Speaking of the Heat, I reminisced with backup point guard Anthony Carter yesterday about starting his career with the Heat. D'Antoni says that when Carter, an undrafted rookie who played in Miami from 1999 to 2003, checks into the game "we go another couple gears defensively and offensively." Carter credits developing that fierceness to Pat Riley.

On his Heat experiences: "I thought it was a great organization, playing for Pat Riley, a hard-nosed coach. He actually taught me a lot of things that I know as far as playing hard, not taking possessions off, bringing a lot of defensive intensity every time you step on the floor. So I always keep that in mind and every time somebody asks me about Miami, I gotta give Miami a lot of credit, especially Pat Riley and the coaching staff."

On his former mentors: "Tim Hardaway, Dan Majerle, Jamal Mashburn, Voshon Lenard, those guys. They told me to take everything in stride. Don't take it for granted. You gotta treat it like a business. You don't want to burn no toes or no bridges. Those guys kind of helped me stay straight this long because I kept what they told me a long time ago in my head, and every summer I just continued to do the same thing that got me here."

On his role with the Knicks: "It's the same from day one from my days in Miami -- just coming in off the bench, just bringing energy and having a good time out there. When you're a guy like me, everybody's gonna follow my lead from a 12-year veteran to a rookie. Guys are gonna be like, 'This dude can do it, so why can't I?'"

Yeah he's a perfect example of what he haven't had on this roster for years. Think about him verses the guys we had before who only cared about padding stats for the next contract. This guy understands winning BB. THe mentality and dedication to your craft. Guys like Eddy Curry couldn't begin to understand why they don't succeed. If you fill your roster with guys like AC, you're gonna win games.

I believe the word is 'heart' He plays with big heart and is smart enough to know what he can and cannot do so he makes few mistakes. A bizzaro of Al 'Chuck-it' Harrington So he was on the squad that beat the Knicks?! Irony everywhere.
Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."
