its unfathomable, but we still should have drafted him over Gallo. 7 ft with his ability to score is super rare. There are a million 6-8, 6-9 guys who you could put next to him to grab rebounds. We could draft one this year if we wanted to.

I saw that. Unbelievable to get two rebounds. Yeah, Eddy Curry would have outdone him there.

No way do I pick him over Gallo. Gallo is great at his position considering his handle, shot, FT ability, etc. Lopez is like Gallo with his inconsistency, but Gallo, even when inconsistent, has solid games outside of scoring.

I mentioned in the game thread that he also ended up with 0 blocks and just 1 foul.

In a game without 2 fellow starters, he needed to step up...these numbers tell you he didn't.

BRO-PEZ plays more like a forward. But I don't think the kid had a game with over 10 Rebs!

Brook Lopez went to the Amare school of big men and yes he is still better then Gallo be alot.

He does a lot of things very well but like any non-superstar has some weaknesses too.

I don't get how anyone can say Lopez is better than Gallo. He plays center though so that might be it, because:
Brooks can't defend - Gallo Can
Brooks can't rebound - Gallo Can
Brooks can score, so can Gallo (and from all over, Gallo the better FT shooter).

The only argument is that centers are harder to come by, but outside of that, Brooks is really lacking in too many areas.

LOL, it's called NBA.com. Pretty much tells you Lopez does everything but shoot 3 pointer better then Gallo.

Lopez had his second 30 and 10 game of the week last night. He's still a higher impact player than Gallo.

As much as I like Gallo, I would take Lopez over him. You just are not going to find quality centers that can score in the post like him. Someone needs to be constantly be on him to improve his rebounding and defense, but he certainly is not the worse defensive center in the league. Bottomline, we can replace a Gallo easier than replacing a Lopez.
