TD has not always been my favorite player especially as a PG. But he's been playing really well, great 3-pt shooting and making better decisions. Nice to see.

He's the most important person on this team right now heading into the playoffs.

Stat and Melo will always score; but when Douglas gets hot we almost never lose. He needs to be on his game if we are going to take out the Heat.

its a 2x effect. He's also the best defender on the wing we have. So when he scores more he gets more minutes and the overall defense is better.

Based on TDs play, Billups play and Fields play I would start TD and Billups together and bring Fields off the bench. Let Billups guard 2s (cause he CANT guard 1s)

Tony Douglas is a really nice piece to have on our team. Especially if he can develop his PG skills. But even if he doesn't, if can continue to be lights out from 3 with that quick release, and solid defense, he's a great spark off the bench. Not to mention he can drop 20 every so often. He's a keeper, and a nice find.

Against the heat he is advantage we have. Their PG position is weak.
Even against Boston, he can make Rondo work, but he's going to have to drive more.

TD has outperformed Fields thus far, but Fields is a rookie and I really don't want him to grasp a new role with a few seconds to go before the playoffs. Not to mention, TD is really shining as a 6th man right now. Shades of Springtime Spreewell? Maybe that's too lavish a praise. I wouldn't really do anything drastic right now, considering everyone seems to be grasping their roles just in time

I would hope TD guards Rondo for the bulk and Billups/Fields get Allen. TD is fast and quick enough to play up on Rondo. I know you want Rondo to shoot, but you also want to limit his passing angles.

his downside is Eddie House with great defense. His upside? Who knows? Bobby Simmons? Jason Terry? Mo Williams?

Good player

yeah he's elevated his game for sure. he does questionable things once in a while but he's a 2nd yr player. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, he's coachable and he's got Billups looking out for him. i hope Landry breaks out of his slump.

yea, TD even looks like a different player.. that behind the back pass to walker last night, he doesn't make that pass a year, or even a month ago...

As much as I despise jeffries, I think he's the best defensive matchup on rondo.. He can play off but still limit passing lanes with his length

you have to let players grow and develop. Knicks dont ever do that, so Knick fans arent used to the concept that you can draft a guy and 2-3 years later he's actually better than he was back in his first summer league rookie year.

Once a PG starts seeing the play develop BEHIND him, that's a sure sign something is starting to click.

fishmike - Other than Chollie Ward, I am struggling to name a player the Knicks have drafted over the past TWO decades who stayed around for more than three years.

Scary.

Its pathetic. Its why Knick fans have zero patience with young players. They have never actually witnessed the point in keeping any. Look at the Yankees. They had a group home grown players that yielded 4 titles over years... Posada, Jeter, Bernie, Mariano, Pettitte... we could do this all day.

Its a shame.
