As the proud, fair knickfan you are, which results would you be content with in this upcoming playoffs?

Personally, I am expecting a competitive series a la the Bulls in the 2009 playoffs. I'll be surprised if we advance through the first round, but some part of me also expects success even though we are bound to face a tough team.

and I'm psyched to see our team heading towards the playoffs again after all the far too familiar years prior --->------->

4-0 sweep, first round.

If we take a game to overtime I will count this year a success.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

For me a success is 1-2 wins and playing competitively throughout the series.

I need to see us have a very competitive first round, win or lose. We need to take at least 2 games to a good team in the first round.

to echo the two posts above me, I just want a competitive showing this year. That would please me. If the Knicks make it to the second round well hallelujah and amen. Next year the expectations go up bigtime

I expect us to find a bar in Copenhagen that will show the game.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

I expect us to be smacked back into reality once playoffs begin. We can then earneslty address our problems for next season.
1 playoff win and a host of off season questions.

Success would be getting out of the first round.

I'm happy they're finally going to make the playoffs. Other than that a first round win would be great but to me as long as they play hard and leave it all out on the floor I'll be happy regardless of the outcome.

CashMoney - It has been a long time. The excitement of the playoffs will be a welcome change from having Madison Square Garden go dark in mid April.

There is nothing better than running into fellow Knicks fans at Jazz Fess in New Orleans and asking an instant friend, "do you know the score?" on the way to Congo Square or The Jazz Tent.

win one playoff game - moderate respect

win two games - cause for optimism

three - "hey, at least we made it close"

four to win a series - sheer pandemonium

once a knick always a knick

Nothing less..and I like our match ups against anybody but the magic and bulls..we matched up better with them pre melo trade..but strongly believe we can bounce boston and the heat up out of here..

It all depends on how we finish the season. I would like to cut Amare's minutes to 25 a night and the same goes with Billups. I would even favor sitting both out for a few games.

We are going to need our bench in the playoffs. I would take jefferies out of the rotation entirely. You're better off giving Balkman minutes and that's scary. So the more time we can give guys to sharpen up there games the better. Carter, Walker, Williams, Douglas, Fields all these guys really need added game action.

2 games is a start, but no reason to lower expectations. Everyone who liked this deal said how much Denver is going to miss Melo. So he should be able to win a game by himself and the same goes with Amare. I expect a 7 game series against the Bulls and we can take the celtics if we play smart.
