Melo is such a dirty player - how do you reconcile?

It's clear that Melo is a dirty player. Some things he's done:

* Shoves people out of the way when rebounding
* Pulled Jason Richardson down
* Fouls when he plays aggressive D
* Sucker punched Mardy Collins
* Laughs about all of the above

And I'm sure I've missed some. But he's our dirty player now. And when he's 40/10 and we win games it's hard not to like him. Still, I wish he wasn't so god damn dirty. How do you guys handle it? Knowing that the face of the Knicks for the next five years is just not a good guy. I don't know how to deal with it.

I grew up watching Riley and Van Gundy coached Knick teams. I'll manage somehow.

I don't know anyone who was near as dirty as Melo on the Van Gundy era Knicks.

I wonder if you would say the say the same thing about Garnett after he sucker punched Fry in the junk while he was shooting a jumpshot.

Some people will criticize anything to do with the Knicks.

It's crazy ESPN was pinpointing Melo pushing to get position for a rebound when Humphries was doing it on every play. Refs never call that..why should Melo be deemed dirty for it. Any good rebounder pushes off..have you seen Dwight Howard play.

I don't reconcile. I think it's terrible.

Where my fan rating, which gauges my interest in the team, was at a 10-year high before the deadline at 89.6, it now sits at a lowly 34.7.
