masterful job in your two years--no one couldve done it better. When i look back-- incredible almost every move. And people who have a few neurons left know you did not do that Melo trade. I want to say think you for trying--you
did one helluva job and you get thrown under the bus at the end / the only ??? was somehow communicating with MDA more about how to use bigs but there is a fine line there. I dont know if MDA was the right man for the job. Anyhow thanks for a well done job. A new York Knick fan

I think Walsh had everything in line up until Dolan got involved. I felt that Melo deal would happen mainly cuz I knew Dolan would never let him get away, no matter what the cost. I still think Dolan is gonna hold on to Walsh and let him finish the job. I think Walsh if left alone could still fix the issues we have with the roster.

As for his hiring Mike, I think it would've been perfect if we eventually did get a PG and a C to make things all fall into place. The offense would be near unstoppable and the defense would be anchored by a real C. I think Mike showed that he was willing to play a C when he started the year with Timo. What else does that signify except a willingness to do what he could to play a C next to Amar'e?

I believe Walsh wanted very much to give Mike the kind of PG he needs. That's why he only signed Felton to a 2 year. Walsh knows how important that position is. I think he tried to bank on Billups experience as a title winning PG, but I think the injury messed up CB's ability to get acclimated and it may still be slowing him down a bit.

+1. The first good GM we've had in over a decade and the one we treat the worst.
