can we even call this basketball?

is there even a point to talking basketball as it concerns the knicks?

it's about the jersey sales and season ticket spit shine. hoops fans need not apply.

i don't watch the games
i'm a teenager, i watch the games

I stopped. There's nothing exciting happening at the Garden right now.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Nearly 20 yrs Knick fan, I stillsometimes watch the games (that I used to never miss) but get bored really quickly. I don't know, the game are just not fun to watch.

I admit I watch the nuggets every simgle time now and I love that team. Our guys + their guys make a very entertaining team to watch. They share the ball all the time, they smile and seem to have fun.

I read that sentence on a denver blog the other day and it sums it all for me:

I told some of my friends last night that I'm basically living-and-dying with this team. I absolutely love watching this group play basketball. There were times against the Heat when the Nuggets could have given up and accepted a beating and a large one from Miami. But the heart of this team wouldn't allow them to quit ... the coaches and the players deserve great credit for that. There are only 12 games left in the season and I wish there were 100 more ... this group is a joy to watch ... win or lose.

I hated the trade before, I'm disguted now and can't take the Knicks crap anymore.
As long as Moron Dolan will be there, nothing good will happen.

Change the coach again, change the players, change the ticket price. The result will remain unchanged.

NY fans are delusional.

Wow, talk about trading places!

I remember when it was us talking about our team's heart and how much we loved them even if we knew they wouldn't go far.

This trade has gone so horribly wrong for us, this isn't worst case scenario anymore. This is a series or nightmares gone through the last 10+ years all encapsulated in this last month. Really, what what is going on and don't tell me we haven't gone through this at certain points. Right now we are going through Dolan, Layden, Isiah, the 100 different coaches, the Ewing trade, Stephon Marbury, etc. All of them had a huge and devastating impact in their time. Right now we are living the compendium of all of that.

Be careful what you wish for has never looked this horrible before.

same here man. It's similar to when the Jets went 1-15 and I still watched every single game as difficult as it was.

The Knicks can only get better and I truly believe that they will, even if it isn't by the end of this season.

Dumb second option. If guys sat around watching Clarence Weatherspoon parade around as a PF and clamored for Jackie Butler to get some meaningful playing time, why would they stop watching now? The Layden/Isiah errors were by far as bad as its ever been. We have promise but zero patience....

yeah i have to endorse this post. i'm taking a break from watching right now. the total breakdown of this team since the first 9 games after the trade is just stunning. their current performance, particularly in context of all that knicksfan cites above, is enough to have me choosing to take a break from immersion in this team. And it takes a lot for me – I’ve watched through ALL sorts of dysfunctional renditions of knickerbocker representation on the court over the years.

me too... I can think the Knicks as my guitar playing has improved of late with the additional practice time. I DVR the games but have just deleted the last few. Very little interest in watching them lose to teams like the Bucks and Boobats. There is nothing interesting about the Knicks right now

I have been busy with family events but I am not watching the encore like I used too. I have no desire to rush and watch the 4th quarter either from said events.

I dont think its similar. This team has been manipulated as a corporate piece by a CEO who would never have that title anywhere if it wasn't for his father.

No. Between the lack of an authorised media outlet and the high price of league pass for what is essentially a flawed product the answer is no. I merely listen occasionally abd refresh the box score of late.

I might if MSG Network were available tune in. (got to check on this)But can't say I would pay much for the current product

I tune in for a quarter here or there, but since they jacked up ticket prices and traded away all the players I was enjoying develop..it hasn't been as much fun even when they were 6-3. Now that the team is a heartless, leaderless, clueless mess that can't seem to even do the basics right, it's just unwatchable for long stretches. The only hope we may have is a Detroit like situation to shake things up and force some change on the stubborn jackasses who direct and own our team.

same. barely watch any games. this season has been unbelievable. first half = some of the most enjoyable knicks moments i've had in a decade. second half = a return to the worst or the worst. i'm sad to say it, but this is what the fanbase in general deserves. i don't care anymore.

It may be painful, but this isn't the lowest point as a Knicks fan. I felt far worse just before layden was fired. I felt that team was awful and had no future. Even after the Isiah mess, I at least could see a plan for the future with Walsh coming in. This is just a temporary setback. I want to see if they can somehow pull it together and finish this season off well enough to give everyone some hope for the future. No one wants to see a complete collapse, but I have to watch.

I dont think its similar. This team has been manipulated as a corporate piece by a CEO who would never have that title anywhere if it wasn't for his father.

The Jets probably wouldn't have traded up for Sanchez and signed a bunch of big names if Woody Johnson didn't feel the pressure to sell PSLs for the new stadium, so now it seems even more similar to me. Fortunately, the Jets have been somewhat relevant over the past decade, whereas the Knicks haven't.

I am thankful that Woody is not Dolan though.

does anyone still watch these games?
