Papabear Says

Dolan is afraid to come to the garden. He is afraid to face the fans especially with that 49% raise in ticket prices.

Uh, how do you know he's not there? He sits under the basket.

Dolan has been there in his usual seat. He can't really say anything to Walsh or D'Antoni cuz they warned him this could happen when he got involved with the trade. Mike and Donnie have been good company men and have taken the brunt of the blame, but you know they didn't want to give up as much as they did to get Melo. Before the trade all Donnie and Mike kept saying is that they didn't want to give up the house to get one guy. Then Dolan got involved. Now it's water under the bridge and we have to look to the off season to upgrade the roster. There's not much we can do about the team not coming together very well the rest of this season. If they can muster some kind of chemistry by the playoffs that would be great, but it's not looking good right now.

nixluva - I have a lot of respect for your opinion and appreciate your boundless optimism and loyalty. With that said, at some point you must look at the evidence and critique what you see, not what you WANT to see.

Based on the recent evidence it is not a pretty picture. If this were any other team would your outlook be the same?

Trends are sliding downward faster than the Swiss bobsled team. When you have a roster composed of tourists, what are they playing for? Really?

As difficult as it is to accept, one thing is certain... sports are not scripted and anything can happen.

The Knicks are not making the playoffs

It would be pretty difficult for them to miss the playoffs at this point. They sure as in hell aren't moving past the first round though.

This team is impossible to watch.

And yes, Donnie Walsh deserves blame for this.

Good luck with that ticket hike, JD!
I guess you still haven't yearned not to count your chickens before they hatch.
Just sell the team. This isn't your thing.

He's an employee and employees do what they're told. Unless you want to blame him for clearing all that cap space?

If Isiah can influence Dolan as strongly as he does, Walsh should be able to influence him more, and he should have stuck with his stance by saying they didn't want to trade everyone for him. He deserves some blame. And he got punked by having to include Felton in that deal, for Billups.

He should still get extended, but some blame needs to be directed towards him.
