This is going to be a big big problem going forward. You can see that converting ISO players to team players is exceptionally hard. I think we can do it (and there have been signs) but our eyes don't lie.

How do you take around 20 years of combined experience, a mostly gutted team, and say "OK, now play like this"?

These guys have got to learn how to play off each other, and Melo has to learn that part of his job is setting up Amare. Until these two start complementing each others game, this team will never win.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but to get one ISO player to play team ball is one thing, but two? Stat was starting to play pretty good team ball (except when he put his head down and drove - he was on a mission.) Melo is starting to as well, but you can see that it's not his game. It's going to take quite a while in my opinion to get these guys to change their Game.

Ok, so say they start playing more team ball, what about defense. Amare right now is finished (and I hope it's not his knees, I mean he's only 28 and didn't log so many minutes. More than likely from playing center.) Melo is an ok defender when he tries, but he doesn't know about angles and the intricacies that well. I'd say Fields and Gallo are much better than him in that way.
