Anyone doesn't think this deal is, was & will be "worth it" is not what I would consider basketball savvy & that's a nice way of putting it!!!

Furthermore, I came across something on bigblueinteractive.com that cushions the fact that we lost a lot of youth. Namely, the following:

The Post has obtained the fine details of the heavily protected future first-round pick the Knicks have given Phoenix (one of the two).

The Suns can't touch it until 2006. The Knicks keep it if they are 25th or better in the draft order. In 2007, they keep it if they are 24th or better. In 2008, they keep it if they are 23rd or better. The kicker is if the Knicks still have it by 2010, it goes to Phoenix, unprotected.

If I am reading this right, the Knicks have a first round pick in 2005? The knicks can then choose when to give the Suns another first rounder as long as it is 25th or better...? But once 2010 rolls around, the Suns get the pick no matter what...So the Knicks really dont have to give up the 2nd fist rounder until 2010, unless they pick really low(26th)
