Not sure if it's an ACL or what.

So lets say New Orleans falls out of playoff picture, and Houston gets in. That means there is a good possibility that there is a NY-Houston pick swap.

I am confused. Didn't the swap already happen? Are we still paying for that? I thought the swap is now with Denver.

Isn't the swap set that Hou gets the higher pick?

Houston has a better record right now so technically we are already swapping picks right?

Houston has the choice to swap picks with the Knicks this year. If NY makes playoffs and Houston does not, Houston will automatically get a higher pick cause they will be a lotto team, and would NOT want to swap picks.

If both teams make the playoffs, it's records that matter, and Houston right now has a better record, and if it ends that way, they would want to swap picks with the Knicks.

For those that are confused, Houston has the right to swap 1st round picks with the Knicks this year. So, we're guaranteed to have a worse pick than Houston in the draft. If both teams make or miss the playoffs then Houston would only swap picks if they ended up with a better record than NY. If NY makes the playoffs and Houston misses then there won't be a swap because Houston would have a lottery pick. If Houston makes the playoffs but NY doesn't then there will be a swap because NY will have a lottery pick but Houston wouldn't.

He should have signed that extension. Sucks for him.

Well, I was trying to explain why Houston has first choice, not just that they do.
