Yes, it wasn't enough for us to stay on top for the 4th quarter but at least we lead in the middle 2 and played them tough.
I am still a New York fan, I was very bitter for this trade, but we have to move on...
I was encouraged to watching Melo moving the basketball and trying to play defense.
This bad stretch right now, could be our rude awakening.
I am hopeful we make playoffs and make some noise.

There was ball movement as a team again, i saw flashes of Wilson Chandler/Gallo moving the ball with this new team.
TD made some mistakes but he was making the defense guess when he was going to shoot the ball and use that high pick and role to earn a step for someone else.
Carmelo finally didn't play as a black hole, he tried to take over when he thought he had a good look most of the time.
JJ n Turiaf played some great rotation defense, JJ missed and grabbed the rebound and missed again but is showing he is getting back in NBA shape.
They both set nice picks for TD, Billups, especially because their guy is cheating so hard, not coming out to help for the PnR.
Roger Mason showed why he is a true veteran and how he can help the team.
TD and Shawne Williams showed the team they were confident and ready to shoot the ball if they *Amare and Melo* kicked the ball back out to them.
We finally started pushing the ball a little more and I think this is the best we have played as a team since the trade.

However, we still need to add 2 athletic bodies for defensive purposes.
Sean Williams and Earl Barron are 2 players I would really be interested in adding.

Shelden Williams
Bill Walker
Anthony Carter
JJ

are all candidates to be let go for these 2 athletic centers that we absolutely need.
Jaron Collins was released from the Blazers, however, he is the slow big body that MDA seems to hate to play.
I think Sean Williams is the athletic big similar to a poor mans Keon Clark/Stromile Swift player that allows us to play at a fast pace.
Playing defense, being our best shot blocker, and enough skills to finish.
Earl Barron showed he could grab rebounds and shoot from mid range consistently during the skid last year.
Was it a fluke or not?
I just don't think it could hurt us giving him a try.
In the end, we still need 2 fresh bodies that can help this team in the playoffs.

We all have different opinions on this Melo trade, but we have to support these New York Knicks regardless.
Amare and Melo both realize the teams are too focused on guarding them, they both need to continue to use this to their advantage.
They have to move the ball and make the opponents defense guess when they are going to score and when they are going to earn a step for the team with ball movement.

I happen to be flipping channels this past weekend or something and came across 4th quarter minutes of a D-League game where Sean Williams was playing. Watched it exactly for 5 minutes only because of that dude.

Now, it was only a 5 minute snapshot, so take it for what it's worth: He is the same player as he was when previously in the NBA. Athletic, long, quick, dumb as rocks.

And that last part is what is gonna keep him from playing in the NBA. He may get another shot but if he doesn't change attitude he will be in the Chinese league soon.

AR has a chance. Dude just needs to get it out of his head that his is not a PG.

Strangely, it's too bad that he has dribble skills for a 7-footer, if he didn't he would just concentrate on other things.
