Spurs were up big most of the 1st half. The Spurs are very clearly playing MDA style BB. They spread the floor, move the ball, make cuts and shoot 3's.

Its Murphy's Law when being a Knicks fan.

But it gets to you, makes you tick-skinned and makes value life outside basketball fandom even more. Don't tell me you haven't paid less and less attention to the Knicks, maybe watching the last part of the game, checking the boxscore, venting a little and moving on with your life, making us try our hardest to not think of them.

Thanks to the Knicks, we all care more about our real lives. They are so great to us!

Right?

Right....?

Used to hate going to the dentist, but now I realize its so important and the pain is far less than watching "Stars".

This team is a bit like Isiah's collection of talent. Wondering if Z-Dumb, Craw and StarBury would ever get the chemistry together.

But these are good guys we have here and with more stars can even be better.

Cuz being a knick fan is more about getting the greener grass in the garden.

Yea, but only 8 points.

I watched part of the game last night, and looking at the box score, sure looks like Al Harrington won that game for them.

We could have a pretty decent team with players run out of NY as Addition by subtraction:

Zach
Harrington
KT

That is a pretty nice front line, nice balance, plenty of rebounding and solid defense.

I tried to watch it last night but sleep just kept calling me. Felton looked great. Gallo looked great. Chandler was all over the place and played great defense. In the Spurs side, Splitter looks like a good player. Manu was in beast mode at the time I was watching and Parker is just a blur. Checking out the boxscores now and I see the Knuggets won again.

Man, I miss these guys.

Also saw much of the game.

Denver is playing MDA ball. They don't seem to slow down on the offensive end, and Karl has seemingly given them total freedom on O. Lawson is faster than a speeding bullet, and he and Felton have been surprisingly good when on the court together. I don't believe the Denver office when they said they did not want to trade Billups. Getting rid of him was designed to allow Lawson to assume control of the team, and this could only happen without the popular Billups on the team.

I still think they are a bit ragged at times when the tempo slows down, but they are effective enough, and they generally move the ball around well.

They turned it up defensively when they needed too, although SA did a good job of rotating the ball and finding open 3's, for the most part.

Since Anthony left they are averaging about the same on O, but have chopped off about 10 PPG on the defensive end. I think this tells you everything you need to know.

Truly painful to watch Denver, but I've seen them a lot since the trade, and I want to continue following the guys we gave up right now.

Briggs might have exaggerated when calling this the worst trade ever, but the early results have supported almost every fear I had about this trade.

Expressing disinterest in our players, not returning phone calls, not wanting to give up Billups, running the table with the Russian... At every turn they were masterful in hustling max value out of Dolan.

Agreed. They pulled one over on the Knicks. Depending on which guys they keep and at what price, it's a very solid team ala Browns's Detroit

which is the example I used over and over and over and over

You CAN win a title without "superstars"

You load your team 8-9 deep with SIZE, athletic skilled versatile players who defend and you can beat anyone. We were working towards that model for sure

That model was a failure. You talk about Detroit. That team had stars on it they had an all world defensive center a star pf in Rasheed probably at that time the most versatile PF in the game with his inside outside game. They had Hamilton who was a borderline star and Prince who at the time was a close to becoming a star with his clutch play and knowledge of the game which gave him an edge. Not to mention a Star PG who hit shots. Stop the BS that Detroit didn't have stars they had plenty of stand out players on the team. That team had defensive superstars.
