all this melo amar'e and a third nonsense started this summer, after miami espn hype. seems we model on them. problem is, they are not sure thing. other models would have worked, too. like the one we had before melo.

heat are strong, but are they clearly dominant? not even close, merely in top running.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

We don't need a 3rd. We need good role players around Melo & STAT.

I don't want a third star, I want to see us fill out the roster with quality players. Even then, we have no cap room so I thunk we might be doomed.

still, melo get glazed eyes at thought of star cluster to rival heat. set wheels in motion for this trade. clearly following miami steps.

heat model untested, foolish dive in deep water for knicks.

At a certain point you have decide how you want to build your team. It's a fact that most title teams have 2-3 top tier players. We have 2 now. What's missing is a starting C and PG. I'd add a SG and good bench as well. Some of the guys we already have will work fine going forward, but we have to upgrade the weak spots. TD and Fields are good role players. I also like Shawne Williams. After that we have a lot of roster spots to fill.

I don't know if they're going to go for another Max player in 2012, we've got time before that decision is made. next year is about finding a C and seeing what other pieces we can add to make this team really function at a high level. There's nothing wrong with the core we have in STAT and Melo. You have to complement them with good role players now.
