I tend to agree but Paul Pierce was a franchise player before he got a ring. Don't forget Stockton and Malone. Maybe you need to be a winner. T Mac and VC aren't really winners, neither ever went deep in the playoffs.

Ewing was franchise and he never won. Unless you are saying that they could help a team contend for a title even if they didn't win one.

Please have patience with certain fans of the New York Knicks. After 9 straight losing years and the trade that dismantled our 2 games above .500 team, many ignorant fan's believe you should deliver a championship this year. There are certain fans you will never win over even after games where you score 24 points and 9 assists. Don't worry Melo, there are fans like me who will place blame when blame is due. YOU and ONLY you are accountable for winning. You must bring max energy every game. You must lead by example even if it exhausts you. Rest is for off days, game days are for battle. You say you watched Bernard King and Patrick Ewing back in the day? Then you must know what's up with that.

Once you realize it's YOU who needs to change, then you can help Amare convey a winning attitude to the other guys who stick on the roster. Every player must be personally accountable for the success of the team. There won't be any cohesion unless you are a leader, even on defense, not a stepping back puss who won't throw down.

Look in the mirror, yo! Like what you see? Not the Barneys garments, not the flashy bling or the solid gold tooth. Look into those eyes and see if you can find a winner within. MJ never made excuses because he was a winner, personally accountable. Same for Magic, same for Kobe, same for Duncan.
