This kind of blows up the "we got time to put this together" thinking.....

For many reasons

- We may experience a lockout

- We have to show we are FORMIDABLE by the end of next season. Matter of fact we have to be a near back-to-back 50win team(2012-13 2013-2014)

- We might have to swap picks this off-season and we don't have our 2012 pick

- We may only have the MLE to use financially to attract Free Agents

- Landry Fields is a Free Agent in 2012 and will be entitled to a contract near $45mil(see CBA Gilbert Arenas Rule....or when we were after Ramon Sessions)

- Amar'e and Melo will be 30yrs old

- Billups deal expires 2012 unless extended and he'll be on the other side of 35

- Walsh's contract expires this summer

- D'AnToni's contract ends in 2012

- We need a starting Center

- We need/may need a backup/starting point guard by 2012

- We'll only have 7 players under contract in 2012 absolute for certainty assuming picks are used players signed(Melo/Amar'e/Balkman/Fields(resigned)/Douglas(TO picked up)/2011 1rst/2011 2nd)

- We won't be under the cap any yrs in between

- The teams below us now can only get better

- The teams above us stay steady or slightly improve for at least 2yrs

Feel free to add to this list as the many reasons time is not on these Superstars and Super Coach side

- Carmelo isnt going anywhere.
- Amare isnt going anywhere.

Losing Walsh and D'Antoni isnt that serious at this point. We got 2 superstars now. Coachs will want to coach this team. GM's will want to manage this team.

Getting a starting C and PG will be hard for us because they come at a premium. As I stated before Varejao and Sessions should be on the market this summer.

Depends on what execs think about Dolan. It's not a sure thing

I'd love a

We need to clean house and get guys in here on the same page in everything they do. As far as AV and Sessions how do we get them Anibus? You keep mentioning them as if they are Free Agents or something and AV's contract is not kind.

I dont have delusions of signing Dalembert this summer. I think he is headed to South Beach.

Varejao's contract being severely overpaid means we should be able to acquire him for cheap.

This isn't a worry at this point. Either he will do enough to merit re-signing or it will be deemed a failure and it will be good for him to walk. I'm not really worried about this.

What do we have to offer that can't be beat by other teams? We barely have anyone under contract. Let me guess Turiaf and Walker for AV.....Okay if you think that after looking at every other deal we've done since 2008. Are you contemplating giving up another pick?

We'd have to include our 2011 pick in the deal.

Anibus we can't trade out of the 1rst round in consecutive seasons. 2012 1rst belongs to the Rockets. It would have to be pick swap and what's the likely hood Cavs give us a better pick?

For example Rockets currently have a better record than us and let's assume they catch the Grizzlies to make the playoffs and maintain better record than us. The Rockets get our pick which would be anywhere from pick 16-18 we'd get pick 18-20. No way Cleveland gives up the Clippers pick(currently 8) they own to dump AV for Filler/pick 20.

More evidence about the trade we made.....think on it

I hope he opts out, he blows.

As for the whole GM thing, it doesn't matter what GM we get until we get a new owner. Until we get a new owner with a new philosophy (like a Cuban, or Maloof brothers, etc) we will always be doing things for the short term, rather than the long term.

Rose is not the answer.
