jees they are really missing kennedy. when u lose a core player chemistry falls off.

My goodness how can Kemba Walker not be a top 5 pick? He showed his PG skills tonight--what a show every time the guy plays he controls the game--this might have been his best game of the year--I think he is POY we play with almost all freshmen and sophomores.

Kemba Walker is a little guy. He's fast, he's tough and hes got handles and a nice pull up jumper. He's super clutch. Hes not a great 3 point shooter. His PG skills are still a work in progress. But he's small. He is POY to me. BUt his size is an issue. He has NBA speed, unlike Jimmer, but hes so small, he may not be able to get his shot off, not to mention that he is NOT an NBA 3pt threat. those are big problems for a small pg. Not to mention hes not really that much of a pg.

I don't think it was DJ missing so much as that Gonzaga X's are bigger than our O's. Team with decent size and three point shooting have given us problems all season, dating back to the loss at St. Mary's. Plus, Gonzago is probably a little more talented than we are. This loss stinks, but it isn't heartbreaking. I remember when we signed Malik Boothe and he would give heartfelt interviews about how he always wanted to represent the program and get them back on track. Well' he did that. He came in shape, along with Horne, Burrell and some of the other four year guys and played a major part in righting the ship. It might not have happened as quickly as some people might have liked, but it did eventually happen. These kids should feel proud of what they accomplished this season.
As for the future, Polee showed flashes of why he was voted LA's player of the year last year and I look forward to him improving and providing leadership to next year's stellar recruiting class.

Being jacked is nice, but being a questionable 5'11" with no 3 pter and not a true pg. Those are his issues and they are big. For a guy his size.

hes a tough kid very smart as well. Any team that gets kemba is getting a big time winner with NBA skills. Last night showed just how good he can be a s a pure PG--and to top it off hes a world class defender and a great rebounder from the 1. I don't know how Uconn does it--but they actually found another kid who might end up being BETTER than KW for next year. If we get Drummond--its all over--I don't know if well lose one game.

Man I gotta come onto a St. John's thread only to read about UConn players? That's just like a kick to nuts after last night's debacle.

I can't wait for next year when the Johnnies have, I believe, the 3rd best incoming class of freshman ballers in the nation. In the interim, I can hope to god someone knocks off UConn. Lets go Cincy!

Man, tell me about it. I'm still rooting for the BEAST tho, some teams more than others. As for Boatright, he seems a little flaky with all the decommits. It wouldn't be the first flighty point guard that UConn signed tho.

I love Kemba--I only wish we could come up with a plan to grab him. he showed his point guard skills last night--Id like to see anyone better other than possibly Irving who will go 1. That is the misconception with him--he has had to play a primary scoring type position--but he really is a pure 1 --and the team that figures that out will have a warrior who is also one helluva player from such an important position. A guy who handles like its attached to his hand incredible speed vision defense rebounding scoring and facilitating--an obvious big time leader+ winner.
