Take the pulse of the UK nation.

We are united in affection toward our team but the trade has changed the roster and perhaps the fans view.

Uk'ers are fans. so we need not justify our existance but perhaps attidude has changed.

Since the trade are you........

Passion is higher for the team! Im watching it more than before the trade!
Passion is about the same! Still watching most games.
Passion is lower, Im not watching as many games.
Passion is neutral for now. Just not watching really. Don't love the roster change.

Let's put it this way. I watched all the games pre-trade and the encore the following day. After the trade, I have missed 3 games and have no desire to watch the encores.

I still watch the games, but I think my passion is somewhat less. I am not grooving on the Melo train right now. He seems a bit too much Diva, but with not enough "D". I liked Gallo, Chandler, Felton, Moz a lot more. Billups does nothing for me. Sure, his three pointers are sometimes clutch, but he looks like an old man compared to Ray Ray.

I am not saying the trade wasa mistake, clearly we are still building around the Starphuck Express. It could turn out great. But I thought the guys who are now Nuggs would have gotten it done homestyle. Melo isn't bringing a chip here all by his lonesome.

Come March 31st, it will be tough for me to choose between watching Melo play no defense and watching the Yankees games.

Watching some games but not all.
Very painfull to watch at times.
No confidence in them becouse they do not have confidence in themselves.
But it should get better next year... I hope.
And no way I will go to the Gardem for this tics price, Not worth the aggrevation.

oooooh... Melo's an "Iva" a Diva without the D. Too funny.

My passion is lower. For everything including Amare. The first group we had one of the youngest teams in the NBA, and maybe our young guys werent Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka caliber young stars but they were good. Amare was the hired gun who was going to lead them to the playoffs and show them how to win in the NBA. We were finally rebuilding. We saw Mosgov working hard and starting to have an impact. We saw Gallo outplay Melo, we saw Chandler have monster games, ect ect.. the point is we had both a star and a rebuilt young team. I found that group very easy to get behind. This group not so much.. its Melo, Amare, an almost used up Billups and the remaining roster scraps. Its just not that interesting. I wish I was more into it, I wish I got swept away with MElo excitment but I havent. He's hit one game winner, takes 20 shots a game and hasnt been remotely impressive on D or the boards. He's made excuses, asked MDA to dummy down the defense and yelled at JJ when he didnt inbound the ball to him with .3 seconds left.

At this point I'm on apathy cruise control until the playoffs. If/when Melo/Stat/Amare win a series I'm sure I will start to drink the kool aid and do so happily. I'm hoping they do

Maybe Gallo was not Bird and Chandler not Melo but it was a feel good story. Amare in first half of season was top 3 MVP contender and Felton while not consistant showed flashes of Nashes and that was ok.

Mozz the kid from far far away was starting to get it and we had:

A superstar
Cinderella rookie story getting touches
Free agent steal (felton)
Home grown Chandler
Teen heart throb Gallo
6th seed
Playoff bound
SSOL fun to watch

With Mozzy the rebounding and defense was starting to gel.

We were far from contending but we had Eddy coming off the books and the future looked better than in years.

We had prospects for trades and FA signing. We were having fun and still had hope.

I get "Melofication" but its just not as fun. The winning has not had the sense of satisfaction as its to be expected when your starstruck.

Im not watching as much. Watching the 4th qurter perhaps. Watching Knuggets were I rarely ever watched anyone. Not watching Nyets Yet.

I want to be more engaged. March Maddness is upon us. I'll spend the rest of the month watching the greatest tournament in sports!

Come April, Im still not watching baseball. Thats what sports center is for.

it was more fun to watch our home growns develop....now it's just about winning and we have a depleted roster....not as enthusiastic about watching right now...plus, the media negative is a real turn off...before, they tracked our young players progress and touted Amare's leadership...now, it's all about giving melo the marbury treatment and tracking our young players...on their new team

This is the pros. The better the talent, the better off you are.

this franchise has abused us emotionally over the years. Speaking only for myself I thought we had a collection of players we could grow with. How long had we wished for a rebuild? Then we had it, PLUS and MVP caliber all star, PLUS the playoffs. Then Dolan works his magic and its tough to stomach. What... 3 weeks ago after saying he does talk to "my GREAT friend Isiah"

Can this turn around? Can Walsh set us up with a team we can really start to dig? Or will it feel like a group of hired guns using NY for the $$$ and a bunch of cast offs?

All I know is I WANT to like these players and this team but its just not happening (yet).

I'm HOPING to be inspired. I WANT to care about this team. It just isnt there yet. I see I'm not the only one.

We dont have ONE core guy like Bos had with Pierce. At least if he had Gallo, or Mos or even Will it would feel a little more home grown. I dont know who these players are and I'm not inspired to care. Hope they change that

It's got to tough being caught between making out our end of the trade being everything right with basketball and the team we have being everything that's wrong in sports........... all the while being ready to ride anything sucess the team has.

Pretty tough.......... on that fence, talking bout dem home grown yoots, dem home grown jankees.

I enjoy watching the abilities of Melo, STAT and Billups. This whole thing is new and not knowing how it's gonna turnout adds drama to a lot of games against good teams. I hate to see them struggle, but I kind of expected some issues to pop up. I still think this team is going to figure things out and get back to winning. we all know that this team has needs, but if they can pull together and get on the same page they can still make some noise

I'm excited about the Playoffs this year and the future.

I don't understand this less passion thing. I watched all last year, the year before that, the year before that...... You get the idea. I will admit that I don't watch losses on encore, but that's me. I don't know, but for me, there is no other team.

I remember a long time ago before cable and having to listen to Knick games on the radio and catch some games on PIX or WOR. I just have been a diehard fan for so many years I don't know what it's like to not support the team and be into a season. That's why this season has been so important. It's the beginning of a turn around for our franchise. No it's not perfect, but the direction is so positive and full of potential for big things down the line. Fans that won't allow themselves to enjoy this after all we've been thru are depriving themselves of a good experience. Perhaps they'll come around in the playoffs.

Please drop the drama...either you AR in or out. Is this not a knick FAN forum? What has happened? Are there no moderators? Someone please explain why fans have to suffer through this on a fan site.

Is there no other site you can post anti Knicks? I love it here and don't want to leave, but it's getting there...

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

The topic of the thread asked a question. Not everyone is going to answer with the same opinion. If there is a forum where people root for a team but don't point out the mistakes or get frustrated with how players play at times or how coaches coach please post a link to it. The drama that I have seen here lately has been more about guys saying they were not going to post here anymore because they didn't like someone else's take on the team.
