Kind of a different direction than the other thread....

I'm amazed that there aren't lootings, shootings and riots over there now. Can you imagine if this happened here? The Japanese are giving the world a lesson on how to take their medicine.

it's all about respect & honor in Japan... behaving like base criminals by engaging in looting & thuggery brings huge shame upon yourself & your family name.

as for there not being any shootings, they have an almost all-out ban on guns in Japan you're only allowed to own a shotgun or rifle for hunting purposes & i believe only people with gov't access are allowed to carry firearms... i'd imagine organized crime Yakuza dudes carry guns in Japan too but even Yakuza dudes live by the bushido code of honor they wouldn't debase themselves by looting & rioting especially after a national disaster like this.
