Sixers just knocked off the Celtics tonight. They are like one of the hottest teams in the NBA since 2011. The Bulls were supposed to be good and while Boozer and Noah missed games they haven't missed an extreme amount fans are making it out to be. Last time I checked Thibs was like coach 1a leading the Celtics to an NBA chip. Not saying he isn't in the discussion but I think Sixers have far exceeded expectations.

The spurs winning 60 games is more of a surprise

No they aren't because The Bucks and Bobcats were thought of as teams who would either hold serve or improve upon there position from last year. They are 3gms back of a 5th seed. Uhhh I don't think anyone in their right mind had them this high in team projections.

I doubt that, when the bobcats loss felton, it was a step back for sure, the bucks have also taken a step back..but like I said, no one thought the sixers would do anything because of last years recored..But the begining of last year with the brand signing, expectations were high, it's the reason cheeks got fired, cause he failed to get that team to play up to there potential..now that Doug has got them to playng well (not above and beyond) he's the coach of the year....REALLY

How many people thought the spurs would be the best team(record wise) in the league with no significant changes(after getting swept in the playoffs), people had the bulls as one of the top 5 teams in the league(right where there at) so how is that worthy of COY if your playing like your suppose to..

Elton Brand played for the Sixers last year and had a disastrous season with them. Even this year it doesn't come close to his career yrs, it's just that his numbers/season look better than they are because they are winning. They were even discussing taking Favors as a potential replacement. The Sixers didn't add anything to their roster besides Turner who had a tumultuous SL and Pre-Season. He was touted as an early season BUST. They fired Jordan last year and had a interim coach fill in with uncertainty. Collins wasn't exactly a sure thing coach as initially it appeared to be more of a hometown hiring than anything else. Bulls were considered Top 4 if healthy and that's what they are. Pop deserves to be in the mix no question but Spurs are a proven battle tested Elite Team. They did get to the Semis last year pushing Phx to the max with a not fully healthy squad.

And Rose and Boozer still don't play any defense either. But Thibs is the defensive genius! Whatever.
