Before Vegas was the boxing king the biggest fights were in the biggest cities. None bigger than Ali Frazier number 1 and no city bigger than NYC and its recently opened arena.

Last nite Joe Frazier was in the house to honor THE FIGHT 40 years ago.

This snippet only begins to scratch the surface of what social-racial-political event this was.

I urge any of you to look for more information and videos about this event. I rooted for Ali as a 9 year old but in time have become quite sympathetic to Joe Frazier's place in history.
