While Philly is hot on our tail for the 6th seed, we are only 3 back of Atlanta in the loss column. Atlanta has a brutal schedule remaining and IMHO, they are a bit overrated (especially JJ). The knicks schedule is quite tought as well but that probably means we will do pretty well since the knicks don't seem to get it up for bad teams but they look great against the strong teams.

If we can catch Atlanta, we play Orlando (unless Miami keeps losing and falls to the 4 spot).

Who do we want in round 1? Miami or Orlando? Does the 5 or 6 spot really make a difference? I personally would rather play Orlando in the first round.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Just Make the Playoffs..The Knicks can play with any team in my opinion.

Honestly, I think Orlando is the worst matchup in the East for the Knicks. We have no way to stop Dwight and in overplaying him, it opens up things for Jameer Nelson and such. And QRich seems to have a personal vendetta against the Knicks.

I don't know if I want to face Orlando in the playoffs.

I think with Charlotte 6.5 back, the playoffs are almost a foregone conclusion. The question is, how important is seeding. If not so important, then MDA can take some chances with the rotation and come up with the ingredients that will work best in the playoffs (like he did tonight). Billups being out might have been a blessing since Mason got to play tonight and I think, was quite effective (defensively and offensively).

I'm just looking forward to playing Orlando and Boston in 2 weeks. That should be a nice reality check of were we really stand.

If Jameer does not go bonkers, we win that game.

You just want the Knicks to be the first to make them ALL cry at once.

I can see the Heat doing some top flight Kleenex commercials.

like this:

"When your Miami heat cry after losing a regular season game (again), what brand of tissue do they choose? Of course, they choose Kleenex! If it's good enogh for them, then it's good enough for you"
