Mason finally had a good game given that he finally has some burn. AC was all over the place and hit some big shots. They both played some great D.

Mason was +15 tonight - highest in the game

AC will really help us in the playoffs

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Yea great game from both bench players. A much needed boost with the three players out. Hope to see more from them the rest of the way to playoffs.

forgot to mention - Mason had 3 clutch rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Everyone wanted to know why DW kept him. We gotta trust our savior. Mason is also suppose to be a great locker room guy.

Carter has a big head on that little frame

It was great to see Mason out there having success. I forgot how good Carter is. He will be great in the playoffs.

Jeffries D was sick too. He will never show up on the stat sheet but he is what we really need. A seven footer who can chase speedy guards all over the floor

Carter being able to play good minutes solidifies our major need of a backup PG for the short term. The fact that we have both him and Douglas instead of just Douglas makes life much easier, and i no longer consider this a weakness on the team. He will be a strong 9th man for this team playing 12-15 mpg for the rest of this season and next. Jeffries will also be a key to this team for the near future. Hopefully we can find a true starting center in the off-season (Dalembert) and bring Jeffries off the bench at PF/C for his defensive versatility.

Watching the encore right now and I agree about Mason. I wanted him let go for other pieces but I can see now why Donnie and MDA wanted him Dude knows how to play. His shot might still be off but he is in the right spot all the time be it offense or defense. Hopefully his shot will start falling.

judging by the post game interview the MDA, looks like Mason earned and will get more minutes.

The difference between how Mason Jr handled his extended bench time and Larry Hughes last year in the same boat is night and day. And yes we do need some help at SG hope he gets some more floor time. Good to see.

As for AC...Chauncey is Mr Big Shot then that guy is Mr Big Heart.

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

The thing is about Mason- if he has found his shot again- he knows how to play intelligent ball from his San Antonio days- Doghouse open!
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

I'm happy Roger is back, but am curious why it took him more than half a season to be able to hit a jump shot bucket.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I hope this wasn't a one time thing. I want Mason o get the fair chance he never had. Walker has been playing over him and that is almost undeserving. Mason Jr can put the same production with better defense if given the chance.
