This is a nice case study for why the Hawks were not too bright moreso than us drafting Frye over Bynum.

Well for the most part the same group picked Josh Smith and Al Horford. Teams aren't going to nail every pick but they could have put in more homework. This is a major reason I hate college basketball because the main reason Williams with that high was due to the fact of his age playing for a school rich in basketball tradition who was the best team in the nation. It doesn't mean he was the second best player entering the draft. College hoops tends to skew a lot when it comes to talent. Also Bogut's prowess that year....Look the guy has had a respectable career but he didn't deserve to go #1 either. I never saw Bogut as someone so much better than Frye really. Frye has closed the gap the past couple of seasons when you look at what they bring to a game and overall bball health. North Carolina's whole team almost went lottery and 3 players from that team are pretty much out of the league....Sean May/Rashad McCants/Jawad Williams
