There are a lot of raw, big PG prospects too. Mozgov isn't expensive, but he's not on a cheap contract either. We'll be able to attract vets looking for a title for cheap now. Mozgov is not someone we need to chase.
Mayo's another ball stopper too. I think there are better fits out there. Flynn would be a nice get if Minny ends up in position to take a top PG AGAIN in the draft, or if Rubio comes over.
how is Mayo a ball stopper? We need a SG with a quick release to keep defenders from sagging off into the paint. Seems like by the time Fields is ready to shoot he freaks cause there is a guy running at him.
The point of this thread is we need size and a shooter next to Amare and Melo. Where are they coming from?
John Wallace.. how many 6'8 combo forwards do we need? This is a 100% win now team. We need pieces in the next year that will help us win a title, or compete for one. I was all for standing pat and developing talent, but that kind of changed when we traded AR, Gallo, Chandler, Mosgov and Felton
JW.. is Justin Harper beating out Shawn Williams? Would he even be better? Keep in mind Shawn Williams is 6'9 with a 7'3 wingpsan, can really shoot it and plays tough for the Knicks. 17th pick 4 years ago. He's 25 now but seems to have himself straightened out pretty good.
