It will be interesting to see what the figures are. He turned down either 4yrs/$32 or 3yrs/$22mil from Boston something like this.

Someone from either yahoo or espn said he would average 15 points with OKC. Is he going to be the big 3 with KD and Westbrook.

So OKC has Perkins, Mullens, AND Aldrich.

RT @WojYahooNBA: Kendrick Perkins' contract extension with OKC pays him $34.8 million over four years, league source tells Y! Sports.

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
OKC increased Perkins' 2010-'11 salary $2.3M to $6.70M and did extension off new number. Creative work by GM Sam Presti and agent Bob Myers.

The deal includes bonus clauses that can increase Perkins contract, sources say.

Sounds like OKC got him for super cheap. And was smart about it.

I still think Boston will live to regret this move.

Perkins is the tough rebounder/defender that they needed if they were going to make a serious push in the playoffs. They will miss Jeff Green, but I think Harden and Cook can make up that scoring loss. With Westbrook at the point and Perkins in the middle, OKC has the chance to turn into a fairly solid defensive team.

BJ or Aldrich are gone. Probably Mullens is first up on the chop block in the D-League as recent as 2weeks ago. Cole is getting minutes now but he needs to get in shape

Green's contract could potentially be centered around Perk's parameters although they play different positions.

For the record Perkins makes $4.6mil in 2010-2011. Not sure what Wojo was getting at here

"OKC increased Perkins' 2010-'11 salary $2.3M to $6.70M"

He means they added $2.3m to his existing salary. Not claiming his salary was $2.3m.

He's still slightly off by $200k, but that's what he meant.

With the extension and their current salary cap numbers, they were able to increase THIS YEARS' salary for Perkins. They did the same for Collison a little while back.

This ESPN article states that the Thunder could have paid Perkins as much as $35 million for than the Celtics $22 million offer: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6170182 I think the Thunder gave hime $30 million over four, but I still haven't seen anything confirmed.
