Is anyone very familiar with this JJ's game? Can he join the NBA after 1 season in the Euroleague and bring some of the potential Mozgov did? Jerome Jordan's a legit 7ft, with a monster 7'5" wingspan. We're looking for 15mpg of big man action next season to give us another look off the bench or spot start.

Stats so far:
http://www.eurobasket.com/player.asp?Cntry=SRB&PlayerID=105287

14.8mpg / 7.8ppg / 3.6rpg / .4bpg / 75.6 FG%

The FG% is simply absurd, better than the average NBA FT%!

He's incredibly slow moving for someone in any of today's NBA systems. In the SSoL system he would look like he is stuck on pause.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

only from what i about him from college... jerome has a high FG% shoots free-throws well, rebounds well enough and can block shots. his offense is very very very raw which is why he's in euroleague. just think of all the 7ft 260lb big men in the nba and think of how bad some of there offensive games are, jerome's is worse is than that. i'm not trying to disparage him because i think he's a very good prospect, hopefully he's getting good coaching on the offensive end. he could definitely be a starting center if his offense becomes just DECENT.

Jordan is pretty much in the best place he can be right now- for him and or the Knicks.

Hopefully the seasoning helps him now and the Knicks in the future.

He looked terrible in Summer League play. And, he is Foul machine - he might foul out before tip off based on Summer League.
so here is what phil is thinking ....

Hibbert got a lot faster than he was in college... I just don't know if that's possible with Jordan.

JJ will be back here immediately after Pringles gets his walking papers and Dolan's PersonalPocketMagic is back in the saddle. That will be IT's first genius move in reestablishing himself as the baskeball legend and management god everyone knows him to be. Along with signing Balkman to a long term deal.

Hope they haven't hired any lookers in the marketing department since Anucha left.

Mozgov was clearly more ready to play now since he was brought over from Europe and Jerome was sent there. I think Mozgov is probably better, but we don't really know how good either will be yet.

When we talk about offense, we're not necessarily talking about moves/scoring, we're talking about his ability to know when to set screens, when/how to free himself to get the ball, and what to do when he has the rock, and when to clear out/when to position himself for a rebound.

One thing I don't fully understand is how players can have incredibly productive college careers and not be even close at the pro level.

while i agree with you about that statement, i'm not sure that is applies to jordan. yeah he would get his 15pts but let's face it, he was playing for TULSA and he was much bigger than everyone. most of his offensive production came from putbacks and easy baskets at the hoop - you're not going to see that at this level. if he played in a major conference he would have had lower scoring totals too.
